Tzw. "domeny" stosuje się do opisu tego co się dzieje w ferromagnetykach. W metalach kolorowych efekt takiego nie ma.

Do "rozedrgania" atomów metalu należałoby używać zdecydowanie większych energii.

Co do PI bo nigdzie nie znalazłem dobrego tłumaczenia jak działa:
rozumiem, że mierzymy pole powstające w czasie powrotu domen wewnątrz metalu (po wyłączeniu źródła pola) - podobnie jak w magnetometrze protonowym gdzie mierzymy pole magnetyczne generowane przez (sprężyste drgania gasnące) powrót domen po wyłączeniu źródła ?

I przy okazji nasuwa mi się pomysł: to może da się zbudować wykrywacz rezonansowy (rezonans drgań własnych domen metalu). Być może każdy metal będzie 'drgał' na innej częstotliwości. Mielibyśmy wtedy prawdziwą identyfikacje.
Oczywiście to już tylko jest teoretyczna zabawa myślowa.

W przypadku wykrywaczy PI obserwowany jest efekt tzw. "lepkości magnetycznej", polegający indukowaniu się pola na skutek powrotu domen magnetycznych do stanu pierwotnego, po zaniku pola pierwotnego.

Ale to efekt dynamiczny, a histereza opisuje zjawisko statyczne (aczkolwiek fizyka tych zjawisk jest powiązana).

Czy istnieją wykrywacze metali wykorzystujące zjawisko histerezy magnetycznej do rozróżniania żelaza?
Zastanawiam się też (bo nie znalazłem w sieci) czy typowy grunt, w którym szukamy posiada histerezę magnetyczną.
