Kanarek na szczęście po wyłączeniu zasilania (i chyba po wyjęciu baterii też) pamięta ostatnie ustawienia.

Ja nawet używałem kanarka 150-tkę z rozbitym LCD.
Wystarczyło zapamiętać jakie są nastawy po resecie do ustawień fabrycznych i nacisnąć:"
- 1raz przycisk czułości aby mieć ustawiony max
- 2 razy przycisk mode aby mieś ustawienie Jewelry
LCD nie był do niczego potrzebny.

Plus jest taki, że rozwiązanie jest tańsze i wykorzystaniem łatwo dostępnych elementów. Minus - trzeba mocno grzebać w elektronice.

Wyobrażam sobie, że jest panel z ponaklejanymi kontaktronami i opisami, a sterujemy kciukiem na którym mamy przymocowany mały magnesik :D

Myślę że można jeszcze pokombinować z magnesem i kontaktronem, jako alternatywą dla wodoszczelnego przycisku czy popychaczy.
